PESHAWAR: The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) has finally given the go-ahead to two vital and huge development projects of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa. The projects include Peshawar-D.I Khan Motorway and Dir Motorway. The chief minister of KP has formally announced the endorsement of the projects by the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC). The CM in his statement said that the approval of these motorway projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Pakistan which is a great achievement for the people of the province in general and for the people of south and north in particular.

Earlier last month in a meeting attended by the senior officials the chief minister was briefed on the development made so far on the two projects. The pc-1 of the two projects, the officials told, had already been approved by the CDWP. The 365 kilometers long Peshawar DI Khan Motorway would be completed with an estimated cost of Rs 300 billion and the 30 kilometers long Dir Motorway would be completed with an estimated cost of Rs 40 billion, the chief minister was briefed.
The chief minister said that the launch of the projects would boost up economic activities in the province. The people of the area would enjoy quick means of transportation along with job opportunities. The completion of the project would attract tourism and trade and would play an important role in the sustainable development of the province.
