CM KP for Close Monitoring of Situation in Galiyat Region

Peshawar: The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has directed the district administration Abbottabad to remain vigilant about the ongoing situation in the Galiyat and its surroundings in the wake of the snowstorm that hit the Galyat region the most resulting in Human Casualties On The Roads To Murree And Galiyat. The CM directed the commissioner Hazara Division to keep the district authorities and rescue agencies on high alert in order to cope with the situation in case of an emergency. He also directed the Commissioner to personally monitor the ongoing operation in the area to rescue the stranded tourists and cooperate fully with Rawalpindi administration and rescue agencies in Murree and surroundings for the accomplishment of the ongoing operation. He also directed the Commissioner to keep the CM updated about the ongoing rescue operation in the area.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has expressed grief and sorrow over the tragedy of Tourists Deaths In Murree. He also expressed sympathies with the families of the diseased. The Chief Minister in a statement issued regarding the situation of Galyat in the aftermath of the snowstorm said that there were no reports of any unpleasant incident regarding any unpleasant incident in Galiyat and its surroundings. The CM said that the district administration, Galiyat Development Authority (GDA), and Rescue 1122, have been placed on high alert for possible emergency situations. He said that the district administration, GDA, and Rescue1122 are already working round the clock to clear the roads, rescue vehicles stuck in the roads, and take the stranded tourists to safe places. The CM also directed the DCs of All Districts In KPK To Remain High Alert in the wake of rains and snowfall, especially in the Nothern Region.

As per the latest information, there have been at least 23 deaths in the country during the recent spell of rain and snowfall, and most of the deaths took place in different areas of KP. The gravity of the situation and the reports of human casualties in other districts of KP due to ongoing rain spells and snowfall compelled the chief minister to show an immediate response. The CM directed the Deputy Commissioner Upper Dir to immediately visit the victim's family in Dogdara area due to the collapse of the roof. He directed the administration of all districts to immediately provide relief and assistance to the victims of the recent rains and snowfall.
