Peshawar: The Chief Minister KP Mahmood Ahmed Khan has directed the officials and concerned authorities to ensure the availability of the civic facilities to the housing societies that have been established under the Urban Development Program of the KP named UAADS. The CM was chairing a meeting to review the overall performance of the Urban Development Authority. The secretory local government Zaheerul Islam and other officials of the concerned departments attended the meeting. The committee was briefed in detail about the composition of the UADAs Board and the decisions taken by the board so far.

The committee was also briefed in detail about the UADAs Act 2020 and the different committees constituted under the act. The chair was informed about the different regulations carried out so far. The CM also directed the concerned quarters to ensure the provision of sports facilities in the housing societies where needed. The CM stressed the need for financial autonomy of the Urban Areas Development Authorities (UADAs). The participants were informed that since the establishment of the UADAs various issues including the approvals of the building plan have been streamlined.

It is relevant to mention here that over the past few years the KP Government has worked extensively for ensuring basic civic facilities for the resident of the province. The government has paid special attention to the infrastructure development, tourism promotion, and economic development of the province. The government believes that the promotion of construction and housing, infrastructure development, and tourism activities would not only facilitate the common man but also play a vital role in the economic uplift of the country.
