CM Punjab vows to Further Strengthen Online Land Record

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar, while chairing a meeting in his office regarding the board of revenue reforms said that the scope of digital land record would be expanded to the gross root level. He revealed that the number of existing Dhai Markaz in the province would be increased to 8000 from the present total number of 1052.He said that the existing Lambardari system would also be modernized and changes according to the present time requirements would be made in the system. He also promised to hold lamberdari convention soon. The CM was briefed that due to the online revenue case management system, the number of cases regarding revenue has shrunk to around 43000, and 18 lac khasra, gurdwara have so far been digitized.

The Chief Minister also directed the concerned officials to further strengthen the system and resolve the issues of the pending revenue cases on an urgent basis. He also revealed that the arrangements to issue an inheritance certificate at Dhai Markaz would be finalized soon. He also cleared that smart cards would be issued to the persons dealing with business stamp papers.

The Chief Minister also visited the Overseas Pakistan Commission (OPC) and inaugurated the OPC app and Markaz Mall to provide online services to the overseas Pakistanis. While visiting the NADRA Centre in the OPC the CM said that now the overseas Pakistanis can get their record from the OPC office and they can have direct access to their land record through 24/7 online services and they can also lodge their complaints through the helpline. Chief Minister said that protecting the rights of overseas Pakistanis is the prime responsibility of the government and that he would take all possible measures to safeguard their rights.   

The current government has already taken several steps to make the system of land records transparent and easily assessable. Digitalization of land records has enabled the people of the country to get rid of the old worn-out Patwar system. The online verification of the information regarding the ownership of the property has really made revolutionary changes in the matters related to property and the sale purchase in the real estate.
