Rawal Chowk Flyover and & 7th Avenue Bridge to be Opened in Next Two Months

Islamabad: The Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Aamir Ali Ahmed on Wednesday visited the ongoing development projects at IJP road, 7th Avenue, and Rawal Dam Chowk Flyover. He was accompanied by the senior officials of the National Logistic Cell (NLC), Members Engineering CDA. The Chairman expressed his concern over the pace of work and directed the concerned authorities to complete the development work on the flyover part of Rawal Dam Chowk project and bridge of 7th avenue on the urgent ground and ensure opening of Rawal Dam Chowk Flyover Project Islamabad by the end of January and the 7th Avenue Bridge by February next year. There has been a serious issue with the traffic flow, especially at Rawal Dam Chowk over the past few months.

The Chairman CDA was given a detailed briefing on the ongoing projects especially the expansion of Inter jurisdiction Principal Road (IJP) Road at a cost of Rs 4.9 billion. The expansion work of the IJP road is being executed by the National Logistic Cell (NLC). The Chairman also directed the concerned authorities to ensure the quality of work during the construction work and execution of the work within the specified time. The Chairman also directed the concerned officials to make ensure minimum disturbance to the masses during the construction work and proper diversion signs be displayed at proper places.

It is pertinent to mention here that the incumbent administration of the CDA has been working round the clock to ensure the maximum possible facilities for the residents of the city. The ongoing mega development projects are being carried out through the heavy amount received by the civic agency by selling commercial and industrial plots in the city. The CDA is trying its utmost to provide facilities like parks, libraries, sitting and recreational places, and a reasonable lifestyle to the masses as envisaged in the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
