LDA DG Pays Surprise Visit to Data Ganj Bakhsh Flyover

LAHORE: Director General Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Ahmed Aziz Tarar, on Wednesday, paid a surprise visit to review the ongoing construction work at the Data Ganj Bakhsh Flyover Project. He expressed his satisfaction at the pace of the work on the site and directed the concerned authorities to ensure the timely completion of the project. LDA Chief Engineer, Mazhar Hussain Khan, Project Director Iqrar Hussain, and officials of LDA, Nespak, and Wasa were also present on the occasion. The DG was briefed by the Chief Engineer LDA Mazhar Khan about the ongoing construction activities and assured him of the timely completion of the project.

Earlier last month too, the director-general had paid a surprise visit to Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh Flyover and had expressed displeasure over the slow speed of the construction work. He had directed the Chief Engineer to expedite the pace of work to complete the work within the specified timeframe. He also directed the concerned quarters to increase the pace of work by employing extra labor and more shifts and prepare a report of the development work on a daily basis and uninterrupted flow of traffic should also be ensured during the construction work.

The Lahore Development Authority is on the way to completing three Major Mega Underpass And Flyover Projects In Lahore within the next two months. The Chief Engineer last week had announced,” three underpass and flyover projects of Lahore will be completed by February 2022”. The three ongoing projects include Sheranwala Gate Flyover Project Lahore, ( Data Ganj Bakhsh Flyover), Gulab Devi Underpass, and Shahkam Flyover projects. The Chief engineer also told that all the projects would be completed within the specified timeframe and will help a great deal in ensuring the smooth flow of traffic in the city. According to the Chief Engineer, the Gulab Devi Underpass will be open for traffic by December 20th. Data Ganj Baksh Flyover By the end of January and Shahkam Flyover by February 15, 2022.
