The CM said that the renovation of Manora Beach would not only attract more and more visitors but also gear up economic activities in the area “This eventually will increase visitors and improve the development of this area” he also added that Karachi beaches are the major source of public attraction in the metropolitan city. The CM further added that owing to lack of recreational venues the masses especially the middle and lower-middle-class had to resort to only Clifton, Sea view, and Hawkes Bay which were not developed enough to provide entertainment to the public, but now he said after the Renovation of Manora Beach with latest amenities, things would change altogether. He said, “Since these destination areas are just beaches and not developed, they got stale and there was a dire need for some new developments,”
The chief minister said that two years ago when he visited Manora and was given a detailed briefing about the need for Karachi Beach Development. “Despite Covid and other issues we developed the area,” He further added that Manora Beach has a rich history. “It is said that the fleet of Alexander the Great had anchored at Manora and then during the Talpur era a port was developed to protect the city.” He added. The CM said that after completion the beach would be handed over to Manora Cantonment and hoped that the beach would remain open for the general public.
