WASA Rawalpindi Launched Mobile App for Online Billing and Complaints

Rawalpindi: Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Rawalpindi in order to facilitate the residents of the city has launched a smart mobile app for the WASA Rawalpindi online billing system. After the launching of the smart mobile application, the clients of the civic agency would be able to get information about their bills and would be able to pay online bills. The smart app will also help the residents of Rawalpindi to register complaints against WASA Rawalpindi in case they face any problems in the delivery of the services. The app named “WASA Rwp” that can be downloaded from the google play store will minimize the gap between the users and the service providers.

Speaking at the launching ceremony after the launching of the android application here at WASA Headquarters Rwp, the vice-chairman of WASA Haroon Kamal said that the innovation of international standards is being brought about in the civic agency and that the WASA has taken several steps over the last couple of years to serve the users in the best possible manner. “The citizens will be able to pay their bills and register complaints through the mobile application from home,”.He added that today the WASA users are at a distance of a single click to either pay their bill or to get any complaints registered. He also congratulated the IT staff of the WASA for achieving this milestone without spending even a single penny from the national exchequer.

It is to be mentioned here that over the last three years WASA Rawalpindi has taken several steps to improve its services and to facilitate the citizens with standard civic services. There are different complaint centers actively working in the city. The shortage of water and sanitation issues have been adequately resolved. Record revenue was generated over the last three years. Water supply schemes in different areas have been completed. Work on Chahan Dam and Dadocha Dam has been expedited to enhance the water supply to the city by 31 million gallons daily to overcome the water shortage issue.
