Chairman CDA Visits Islamabad Parks

Islamabad: CDA is always in action for the Development Of The Capital City and has taken many steps recently like Water Shortage Overcome In Islamabad, Bhara Kahu Bypass Development Plan, and many others for the progress and advancement of the concerned area. And now The Chairman CDA, Aamir Ali Ahmed on Saturday paid a surprise visit to the parks of the capital city and took several decisions about the renovation, maintenance, and completion of the ongoing work. Although Saturday was an off day for the civic agency, yet the Chairman along with officers of the CDA remained busy all day long in visiting different parks and sectors of the city and directed the concerned authorities to take immediate measures where necessary. The chairman expressed dissatisfaction over the pace of ongoing work and ordered stern action to be taken against those who show negligence. The Chairman visited F-9, G-9, and G-11 parks in particular.

 The chairman was impressed by the general condition of the F-9 Park but at the same time, he took notice of a ruined building spread over an area of 3000 square meant for the restaurant. He ordered the concerned authority to convert the building into a museum. “The city does not have a good experience of having restaurants in parks. So, we have decided to convert it into a history museum in which there will be photographs, videos and other material related to the city. “The idea is to inform people how Islamabad came into being and how it progressed; we are hoping the museum would attract a large number of people, especially tourists.” The chairman said. The Chairman also visited F-11 and G-11 and Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad was directed to renovate the gym between F-11 and G-11. He expressed anger over the slow renovation work on roads in F-12 and G-11. He said that he would revisit the area in two days to check the compliance with the directions.

The chairman of the Capital Development Authority also visited the park which is being constructed between G-11 and F-11and ordered the concerned authorities to complete the pending work within two days. The chairman said, “It is our culture that people usually go out for a walk after sunset, so I have directed that lights be installed in the park. There are also walkways and cycling tracks in the park”. He said that he visited the Gym located in G-11 and was surprised to see the poor condition over there. He said that “Windows were covered with paper, and it seemed as if no one had been deputed to clean the hall”. The chairman also examined the development work in different sectors of the city and directed the officials to ensure the timely completion of the projects.
