WAPDA prepare a project feasibility report the committee recommended. The project is located on the banks of the Hunza River and the 54MW project was undertaken by WAPDA. The outline of the Attabad Lake Hydropower Project worth 25.4 billion rupees was introduce at the meeting by Federal Minister of Planning and Development.

He said that to provide design and procurement support world-renowned technical consultants can be hired. .The committee ordered the submission of a feasibility report for the entire project to assess its long-term feasibility, after detailed discussions. To explore financing options and strengthen internal financial capabilities hire independent financial consultants. The Ministry of Planning and Development submitted another briefing on the Pakistan Optical Remote Sensing Satellite (PRSS-02) sponsored and implemented by SUPARCO. The satellite will generate terrestrial images with very high resolution, with a design lifespan of at least seven years. The projects of various departments not only herald a new chapter in Gilgit-Baltistan’s development and progress, but will also help solve problems in the region according to the package plan. The package includes infrastructure, roads, power projects, environmental protection and tourism promotion. emphasized the need to develop Gilgit-Baltistan’s huge tourism potential. The Prime Minister approved a multimillion-dollar milestone development plan believed to be for Gilgit Baltistan, while vowing that the development of the region is one of his government priorities.
Gilgit-Baltistan chief minister said: "Gilgit-Baltistan has a lot of potential for tourism that needs to be explore. There is a need to take care to tourism promotion and environmental protection."
