7th Avenue Interchange Construction Work To Be Completed Soon

Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) hopes that the Construction Work On 7th Avenue Islamabad is expected to be completed a month earlier than the stipulated completion time of October 2022. The member engineering of the civic body told the newsman that the contract was awarded to National Logistic Cell (NLC) keeping in view the timely completion of the project. He also expressed his views that the NLC has expedited the work on the project which will be completed in September this year. He said that the work is progressing at a rapid pace keeping in view the woes and worries of the public on the spot. The Rs 1.5 billion 7th Avenue Project was launched in August last year at the junction of 7th avenue, Srinagar Highway, Khayaban-e-Soharwardi, and Garden Avenue near Abpara.

As per details, there would be four left and right loops and there would also be an underpass to connect both the sides of Khayaban-e-Soharwardi. The CDA was interested to award the contract of the project to either FWO or NCL so that the timely completion of the project could be ensured. NLC being the lowest bidder with Rs 1.5 billion was awarded the contract. Earlier last year when the project was launched the CDA prepared a proper diversion plan during the construction. The CDA engineering had said that the civic body is well aware of the public worries. He said, “ We know the issue of prolonged signals and problems being faced by commuters. We will ensure the completion of this project within one year as we have a surplus budget. NLC is a big construction firm and we hope it will complete the project before the stipulated time of one year”.

It is pertinent to mention here that the incumbent administration of the CDAIs working round the clock to minimize the sufferings of the residents of the capital city. The dynamic vision of the Chairman to provide the masses with all amenities has started bearing fruits and many a development project are in progress in the capital city. The work on the 10th Avenue Project, Expansion work on Islamabad Expressway, PWD interchange, I.J Principal Road, Rawal lake flyover, and development of long-awaited sectors are among many other projects of public interest.
