Islamabad: The CDA administration is all set to carry out operations against illegal housing societies in the capital city. Recently the civic agency is focusing on zone 3 and zone 4 of the capital city. The CDA’s official Facebook page makes an announcement of the ongoing operations against illegal housing societies in the area. In the first phase of the operation, the offices of the illegal schemes have been sealed and action is being carried out against the illegal buying and selling of plots violating the CDA Act 1960.

As per details, the illegal housing schemes are also involved in the sale and purchase of properties in violation of the ICT Zoning Regulations 1992 and ICT Building Control Regulations 2020. Moreover, CDA Ordinance MLR 63, MLR 82, Environment Protection Act 2008, and landscape ordinance 5/4 are also being violated by these housing societies. The civic agency would enforce all these rules and regulations. The post also states that the CDA administration has repeatedly warned the public to avoid selling and purchasing in illegal housing societies.
The CDA administration has also warned the public time and again that before buying a property in the area the public must ensure that the concerned society fulfills the required conditions and has obtained the NOC from the CDA. In this view, the civic agency has displayed complete details of the approved housing schemes on its website www.cda.gov.pk. It is relevant to mention here that over the past few years the CDA administration has launched several operations against illegal housing societies to minimize the woes and worries of innocent citizens.
