CDA Sealed the Centaurus Mall

During an overnight raid, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) sealed the famous Centaurus Mall. The latest development occurred hours after a contentious argument between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas of Azad Kashmir during the latter's visit to Mangla. The AJK PM was not given a chance to speak during the speech by PM Shehbaz Sharif.

According to reports, a CDA team and local police attacked the Centaurus Mall and drove out the management and security personnel before sealing the structure. The mall has been sealed, according to the CDA, due to "illegal use."

A spokeswoman for the AJK PM blamed the federal government for the fire in Centaurus Shopping Mall, which was started earlier in October for unknown reasons. Talking to journalists, AJK PM’s spokesperson, Raja Usman, claimed that the fire in Centaurus Mall was set deliberately as the federal government was doing political victimization in light of the political situation. He claimed that the federal government wants to make it a bigger incident than the Model Town fire, accusing Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah of involvement in Islamabad’s shopping mall fire.
