Lahore: The green hydrogen project has received preliminary clearance from Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Mohsin Naqvi, who also urged officials to create a detailed strategy for the project's execution in the province.

Punjab Industries Minister SM Tanveer, the chairman of the Planning and Development Board, the Punjab Secretary of Energy, the Punjab Secretary of Finance, and other pertinent officials attended the meeting, which was presided over by CM Naqvi. The initiative was seen by the guests as a vital alternative energy source for the area. The CM emphasized the value of hydrogen as a sustainable energy source for the future and emphasized its eco-friendliness.
Grey, blue, and green hydrogen energy were the main topics of the Punjab Energy Secretary's thorough briefing on the green hydrogen project during the meeting. The demonstration focused on the cutting-edge technology used in the electrolysis of water to separate hydrogen and oxygen. The project is projected to save Punjab US$38 million in foreign cash while employing 8,000–10,000 people. Punjab could accommodate the first green hydrogen plant with enough land and water.
