LAHORE: The Lahore Ring Road Authority (LRRA) and the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) have completed the Southern Loop-3 of the Ring Road and it was officially opened to traffic On Thursday. The CM of Punjab Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated the project. "The last twelve years have seen no progress on the Southern Loop-3 Project. “However, we completed this significant task in a record-breaking 130 days," Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi remarked upon the project's official opening.

On this occasion, the chief minister examined the building of the 8-kilometer SL-3, which runs from Adda Plot to the Marakka, Multan Road. He said that the Rs.16.5 billion project will offer top-notch transport options to all. He said, “We are grateful to everyone who helped to see this project through to completion”. The project links to Ring Road SL-4, where construction will begin following design, PC-1, estimate, and bidding approval.
From Adda Plot on Raiwind Road to Maraka on Multan Road, the SL-3 loop connects Bahria Town, Pakistan Medical Society, multiple rural settlements, and numerous other residential areas. It is a six-lane, eight-kilometre dual carriageway with two interchanges, eight bridges, four single-span service road bridges, six subways, twenty-two culverts, and a 24-kilometre drain.
Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi officially inaugurated the loop's major completion, at which traffic was allowed to flow, a senior official reported.
