Embellishment of Srinagar Highway Completed by CDA

The beautification work carried out by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) on The Srinagar Highway Islamabad has been finalized. The beautification work comprising of plantation of flowers, trees, and carrying out landscaping has changed the complexion of the road altogether. The landscaping work without using usual construction materials like cement and sand has really given a new look to the entire structure of the Srinagar Highway. The beautification work carried out by the CDA under the Clean and Green Pakistan Project is a part of the government’s vision to ensure the preservation and protection of the natural environment in the country. The new sight of the road is also a source of enjoyment for the thousands of daily commuters to the twin cities.

As per details, the evergreen flowering plants along with road safety requirements have been planted alongside the road. There are colorful flower pots of different sizes placed at the main locations of the road. The colorful flower blossomed in the spring season along with landscaping work present a wonderful picture of the city. More than 115,000 vehicles get past the Srinagar Highway on a daily basis and its beautification amuses them a great deal. According to CDA officials during the political processions and gathering the beautification work is badly damaged by the masses which is a permanent source of worry for the civic agency.

It is to be mentioned here that the incumbent administration of the CDA under the dynamic vision of Chairman Aamir Ali Ahmed has worked round the clock for making the city among the best capitals in the world. The beautification and completion work in different sectors of Islamabad is in full swing. Parks and public places are being renewed and revived. Public libraries and public places and sitting areas in different sectors are being renovated. A comprehensive plantation derive has been carried out by the civic agency. The roads are being carpeted and widened in the capital city.

The development work on 7th Avenue, 10th Avenue, Rawal Town Underpass, Bhara Kahu Underpass, PWD Interchange, and Expansion work on Islamabad Expressway and IJP Road is in progress. All these measures clearly define the direction of the city administration towards ensuring a better city for the residents.
