FBR Extended Deadline for Filing Tax Returns

Islamabad: The deadline for submitting Federal Excise and Sales Tax Returns for March 2024 has been extended by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to April 22, 2024.

The deadline for filing the monthly sales tax return form, which was originally set on April 18, has been rescheduled, according to instructions sent on Monday by the FBR to field formations. Sections 43 of the Federal Excise Act of 2005 and Section 74 of the Sales Tax Act of 1990 permitted this extension.
