Today's opening of the Export-Import Bank of Pakistan (EXIM) in Islamabad by Caretaker Minister for Finance Dr. Shamshad Akhtar represents a major step towards bolstering foreign commerce and promoting economic growth in the country. She stated, "EXIM's operationalization is a major milestone that will augment Pakistan's banking and trade finance landscape," during the inaugural ceremony.

The Finance Minister emphasized the significance of EXIM worldwide, stating that these organizations provided an astounding $2.50 trillion in trade finance in the previous year.
Dr. Shamshad Akhtar highlighted the importance of export credit loans, which give exporters access to competitively priced financing, while outlining the wide range of goods that EXIMs offer. She also emphasized how EXIM's guarantee, credit insurance, and loan services might increase the competitiveness of Pakistani exporters on the international stage.
