Notably, the PCBDDA started the Kalma Chowk renovation project to provide access to the CBD, which is being built as the country's first smart downtown. Two underpasses and an overhead bridge will be built as part of the project to improve traffic flow and direct traffic away from the central business district and toward Kalma Chowk and Gulberg Main Boulevard.
