Peshawar: With plans in place for four new economic zones and one SEZ, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KP-EZDMC) convened for the first time to discuss the creation of ten economic zones and two Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in the province.

The officials discussed the company's industrialization efforts, performance to date, and future goals with Abdul Karim Tordhir, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Industries, Commerce, and Technical Education (IC&TE), at the company's Peshawar headquarters.
The completion of the Ghazi Economic Zone and the readiness of the Mansehra Economic Zone for commercial debut were among the meeting's main features. Furthermore, updates on various zones' progress were given, such as the Hattar Economic Zone's construction activities and electricity provision, the development of Gadoon's commercial areas, and the allocation of units at the Rashakai Special Economic Zone under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
In addition, the Nowshera Economic Zone has finished its expansions, and the Export Promotion Zone Risalpur, home to the largest matchbox manufacturing facility in the world, has recorded noteworthy results. The Chitral Economic Zone's construction is complete.
