Layout Plan for Four New Residential Sectors Finalized by CDA

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has been working on finalizing the layout plans (LOPs) for four residential sectors - D-13, E-13, F-13, and housing scheme in Kuri - in light of the topographic study in preparation for the launch of four new residential schemes. Waseem Hayat Bajwa, a member of a planning, stated, "We are working to finalize LOPs of four sectors, including D-13, E-13, F-13, and a housing project in Kuri".

 He added that the finalized LOPs would be brought before the CDA board meeting for final approval. "Within a few days, we will hire the services of a consultant to finalize the LOP for the Kuri housing scheme," he said. The construction project will thereafter proceed. As per CDA officials, these four sectors have around 25,000 plots. He further added that the CDA will soon launch the C-13 and C-16 sectors.

He mentioned the Kuri housing project and how the CDA had acquired 20,000 kanals there that had been abandoned for years. He said that out of the property, 8,000 kanals were the subject of a disagreement between the CDA and the locals, therefore the civic agency intended to draught LOP on 12,000 kanals initially, excluding the disputed property.

It is important to remember that CDA had purchased the property in Kuri decades earlier, but no action was made to create the residential project, which was meant to include more than 3,200 acres in the revenue estates of Kuri, Majohan, and Rehala in Zone IV. Similarly, the CDA acquired the three sections D-13, E-13, and F-13 described above in 2008. Additionally, the CDA allotted a portion of D-13 and E-13. According to CDA representatives, the CDA chairman gave the civic agency instructions to resolve all outstanding issues that were impeding the growth of the sectors.
