Lahore: According to news reports on November 25, the Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA) have given the go-ahead for the beginning of two low-cost housing plans in Rawalpindi and one in Sheikhupura.

According to the latest information, the two housing developments in Rawalpindi are Tariq Sharif Housing Scheme Smart City and Green Woods Housing Scheme (Forest Town). The Minar City Housing Scheme is the name of the low-cost housing development in Sheikhurpura.
According to sources, the 90th meeting of the PHATA governing council, which was presided over by senior province Minister Main Aslam Iqbal, decided to initiate these projects. In order to facilitate the provision of roofing to low-income families, the minister stated that the government is prepared to alter regulations to establish an efficient procedure in partnership with developers.
