Rawalpindi: According to news reports on March 10, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has instructed the planning wing to take action against the illegal housing and development schemes. The RDA administration recently became aware of the rising number of unlawful housing societies in the Rawalpindi Region. The planning division of RDA has been ordered by RDA Director General Saif Anwar Jappa to visit unlawful housing developments every day and demolish site offices and structures. Additionally, the MP&TE Directorate has been tasked with taking strict action against unlicensed construction.

The RDA has made the tough decision to take action against illegal land conversion, subdivision, and marketing of such unlawful projects. The authorities have been directed to monitor on a regular basis how the housing societies are operating on the outskirts of the city.
Without a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the civic body, it is unlawful to begin housing schemes, apartment projects, commercial buildings, and other developments, according to the RDA. The RDA has set up a separate desk to answer questions regarding housing initiatives, and it has also urged individuals not to invest in illicit housing schemes.
