RDA Issues Notices to Marketing Company for Promotion of Illegal Housing Projects in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: On Friday, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) issued a notice to M/s Reliable Marketing, a marketing company, about the advertising campaign of nine unlawful housing projects. It was in line with the Director General's (DG) directions. 

A representative for the RDA stated that the marketing company received a letter from the MP&TE (Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering) Directorate RDA instructing it to cease promoting nine unapproved and illegal housing proposals.

He claimed that the DG has instructed the relevant authorities to take legal action against illegal housing societies' advertising campaigns. He added that a housing project cannot be deemed permitted or lawful until it has a No Objection Certificate from the RDA; nonetheless, the marketing firm was deceiving the public. Such projects are marketed and projected as though they are already authorized and compliant. The marketing firm has received a warning to cease promoting the unlawful initiative right away. He stated that the DG had instructed the populace to visit RDA's official website, www.rda.gop.pk, to monitor the progress of the housing projects.
