RDA Sends Notices to Five Illegal Housing Societies

Following the Director General's (DG) instructions, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has taken action against five unauthorized housing projects. Owners of unlicensed schemes in various parts of Rawalpindi received notifications from the RDA's Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate.

The DG has further warned individuals against making investments in unauthorized projects and directed the authorities to crack down on unlawful housing schemes and their promotion of them.

According to the RDA spokeswoman, FIRs would be filed against rulebreakers. The RDA has also asked the FIA's Internet Crime Division to take legal action against these schemes' unauthorized advertisements.

Before investing in any project, the public is asked by RDA's Planning Branch to examine the status of housing developments on the agency's official website. The RDA has issued a warning, stating that it would not discriminate in its ongoing campaign against illegal housing plans. The names of the five illegal housing complexes to whom RDA has issued notices are as follows:

1. Royal Ghar (Apna Ghar) at Mouza Paryal Chak Beli Khan Road

2.        Safanza New Era at Ralla Gujrain Chak Beli Khan Road

3    Green Lake City at Dhoke Bhaia Rawat

4.        New Iqra City at Mouza Dheri Jorian, Rawat Rawalpindi

5.        Hoon Farm House at Mouza Adyala Road Rawalpindi. RDA spokeswoman went on to say that those in charge of illegal housing projects and their sponsors are misleading the public.
