RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has issued a warning to Zameen.com, Advice Associates, and Lead Marketing, to stop promoting shady housing projects right away. According to RDA Director General Saif Anwar Jappa, the Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Scheme Rules-2021 make it illegal to advertise such programs.
Sponsors are prohibited by Rule 46 (1) from utilizing any print, electronic, or other forms of advertising to promote the sale of plots or dwelling units. DG emphasized that if the companies and their owners don't follow the Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976 and Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Schemes Rules 2021, the RDA has the authority to file a lawsuit against them.
He added that a project must acquire a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from RDA Rawalpindi before it can be considered acceptable or legal. Unfortunately, these businesses' websites deceive the public by advertising unlawful housing projects and tricking people into making substantial investments.
The advertising businesses have been advised not to engage in such illicit actions since they could mislead the public. The RDA has ordered the civic organization to take down all buildings connected to these illicit schemes that could lead to significant financial transactions from the public in the form of purchasing plots in unapproved/fake/illegal housing plans. He concluded that RDA's website makes it simple to find out any project's legal status or obtain directly from the RDA offices.
