The details state that CM Shah gave Planning and Development (P&D) Minister Nasir Shah instructions to hasten the process of obtaining procurement approvals from the World Bank and AIIB teams. Twelve federal and provincial organisations have not yet granted the project's NOCs, therefore CM Shah is pleading with the Water Board and local government to pursue them. A few more Planning Commission approvals are still pending, but CM Shah promised to speak with federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal directly to speed up the process.
The Planning and Development department was instructed to begin hiring consultants for the K-IV Augmentation component while waiting for the Planning Commission to approve the project.
On the other hand, 500,000 farmers would be eligible for interest-free loans totalling PKR 150 billion through the substantial "Kisan Loan Programme," which was launched by Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz. If you live in Punjab, you can apply for the Kisan Loan Card, which CM Nawaz launched, and you could be one of these 500,000 farmers.
