The Supreme Court lawyers have long been intending to have a house of their own house in Islamabad, their dream seems to be coming true. There has been a long and untiring effort of the lawyers before they finally got it done under the Federal Government Employs Housing Authority (FGEHA).

last year there has been a serious debate in the Apex court on whether or not the land falling in zone iv of Islamabad Capital Territory,i.e mozia Tamma and mozia moorian, could be utilized for a housing society. According to the Master plan of Islamabad and as per regulations, if required this land could only be utilized for the projects of national importance. The villagers of Tamma and Moorian had filed a petition in the court seeking help as they were being deprived of their agricultural land in violation of the rules. The villagers had also faced an encounter with police and CDA officials. As a result the apex court had stopped the Islamabad administration from carrying out any operation for land acquisition from the landlords of the two villages.
The society for the lawyers was to be established by the FGEHA at park road Islamabad in line with the recommendations of the ”land Supervisory Committee” formed under a serving Supreme court judge to look into the progress of the project. According to the understanding between the SCBA and FGEHA, The SCBA would ensure that all the cases pending in courts regarding the land would be withdrawn by the land owners and that the the SCBA would also ensure provision of a 150 feet access to the site. Overall an area of 4100 kanal is reuired for housing society in mozia moorian and and about 90 kanals in mozia tamma for providing access to the site .The SCBA has already deposited Rs 5 biilion as the cost of land to the FGEHA.
