129 Cases of Illegal Housing Societies in Rwp Referred to FIA’s Cyber Crime Wing

RAWALPINDI: To register cases against unlawful housing societies, the district administration forwarded 129 complaints to the Cyber Crime Department of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). Plot sales and purchases in illegal housing projects were already prohibited; 383 of the violators received legal letters, 218 challans, 212 FIRs were filed, and 184 offices were sealed.

The district administration has declared that a massive operation against unlawful housing societies would begin on Thursday. This time, they have stated that, rather than conducting this operation repeatedly, it should be conducted just once in a way that will produce exceptional and long-lasting benefits. In a meeting that took place here on Wednesday and in which Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi also participated.

The RDA director general Kinza Murtaza, Dr Hasan Waqar Cheema, Syed Nazarat Ali, Additional Commissioner Coordination, administration, police, and other officers. 
He went on to say that people should be educated about illicit housing projects using the media, social media, YouTube, and billboards in order to save their hard-earned money. 
According to him, action has been taken under the PEDA Act, and the RDA and Revenue Department officials who participated in the operations of unlawful housing projects have been suspended.

 Purchasing and selling plots in unlawful housing developments is strictly prohibited. According to him, information regarding unapproved and unlawful housing proposals is also updated daily on the RDA website. This time, at a briefing on behalf of RDA, it was said that efforts are underway to combat unapproved and unlawful housing developments, and that they will soon begin in earnest under Commissioner Rawalpindi's direction. At the moment, the RDA has approved 70 private housing proposals in Rawalpindi, while 72 are still in the approval process.
