Beginning in May of this year, the Akbar Chowk overpass and remodelling project intends to make Maulana Shaukat Ali Road a signal-free thoroughfare. The project is to improve traffic flow at the intersection, give commuters between Kot Lakhpat and Canal a hassle-free trip, and save time and energy. Director General Muhammad Ali Randhawa of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) recently visited the project site to assess its progress.
