Islamabad: The newly appointed chairman of the Capital Development Authority
(CDA) Captain Muhammad Younas on Wednesday inaugurated yet another hiking
trail in the capital city. Trail 7 starting from C-12 will culminate at Kanthla Village.
Speaking on the occasion the Chairman CDA said that making Islamabad beautiful
and full of Greenery was his top priority. The chairman of CDA also inspected the
under-construction Margalla Avenue and ordered the concerned authorities to
complete the ongoing projects urgently.

The work on completion of the Margalla road has faced delays several times.
Earlier the work was to be completed by June this year but the CDA could not
complete the project within the stipulated time. Late its scope was extended for
six months and now the project is expected to be completed in December. It is
reported that around 75 percent of the work has been completed and the civic
agency is hopeful that the remaining work will be completed in the next four
months.

It is also pertinent to mention that PM Shahbaz Sharif has recently directed the
CDA to complete the Bhara Kahu Bypass project in four months. Bhara Kahu
Bypass is the third and final phase of the Margalla Road Project. The Bypass would
start at Murree Road near Quaid-e Azam University and will culminate near Jugi
Stop Bhara Kahu. As per instructions of the PM, the newly appointed chairman of
CDA has directed the engineering wing of the civic agency to start work as soon as
possible. It is reported that the construction work on the Bhara Kahu Bypass
would be started within a week.
