Lahore: According to the latest news item, the Miyawaki Forest at LDA Avenue-1 in Lahore was recently inaugurated by Director General (DG) Tahir Farooq of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA).

As part of the "Plant for Pakistan" initiative, 6,000 Miyawaki plants were planted in the F Block of LDA Avenue-1 by the requirements. Senior LDA officials, Ambreen Riaz Sapra, CEO of Synergy, members of the Synergy team, and a large number of students from LDA schools attended the planting ceremony. The planting of Miyawaki plants was carried out in conjunction with Synergy, and participants included the LDA DG, officials, personnel, and schoolchildren.
Furthermore, DG Farooq stated LDA's intention to disperse over 200,000 saplings throughout the city with assistance from private housing schemes and gave them free saplings to Avenue-1 homeowners. Additionally, members of the National Assembly Saif-ul-Malook Khokhar took part in the sapling planting initiative at the Finance and Trade Centre, Emporium Mall, Johar Town, where the DG Farooq organised a tree planting drive. Khokhar emphasised the importance of the LDA's effort, which was started in response to Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz Sharif's directions and aims to reduce pollution in Lahore by planting 200,000 seedlings.
