The new idea is expected to revolutionize the passport renewal procedure and allay citizens' long-standing complaints about huge lines and wait periods. Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah's official social media account posted the announcement in a tweet. The tweet explained that now that the hassle-free e-passport option is available, passports can be renewed online from any location without going to the office.

It is pertinent to mention here that now citizens can say goodbye to the tiresome and time-consuming process of visiting passport offices with the launch of the e-passport renewal option. Before this, citizens had a difficult time renewing their passports, and huge lineups outside passport offices had become commonplace. These inefficiencies frequently caused applicants to experience unneeded delays and hassles.
