Islamabad: According to the news reports published in the newspaper on January 10, the federal minister for communication Maulana Asad Mahmood has announced that the federal government is all set to launch a housing scheme for the employees of the National Highway Authority (NHA).

As per details, the houses will be allotted to the NHA employees working in the Authority's capital city headquarters. The minister also revealed that the ownership of the homes would remain with the NHA and it will also enable the authority to save a heavy amount that it spends in the form of hiring facilities for the federal employees of the authority. The minister also announced that soon the government would initiate similar schemes for the employees of the provincial headquarters of the NHA.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Federal Minister for communication Maulana Asad Mahmood has already approved the construction of apartments for the employees of the authority on the NHA-owned land alongside the M-1 and M-2 Motorways on almost 121 kanal of land. The said apartments would be provided to the employees as per the proposed easy installment plan.
