Islamabad: Intelligence Bureau Employees Cooperative Housing Society (IBECHS) has reached an agreement with Marriott International to debut the JW Marriot Brand in Pakistan. The JW Marriot Brand construction work in Islamabad is expected to begin in 2023. The 250-room luxurious environs of the brand would provide an outstanding destination for visitors and tourists to enjoy the scenic beauty of the capital city to the fullest.

The signing ceremony was held in Dubai on November 30, 2022, and was attended by the IBECHS Serretary Shujat Ullah Qureshi and CFO and Head of Investment Mr. Ali Syed. The attendees of the Marriott International included Phil Andero Poulos, CEO owner and franchisee service, Europe, Middle East, and Africa, the brand and regional vice president of the Marriot International, Ziad Abi Raad, Director of Lodging Development for the Middle East and Pakistan for Marriott International besides many other attendees from both sides.
Speaking on occasion Mr. Shujat Ullah Qureshi said that the IBECHS is delighted to have reached an agreement with Marriott International to launch the first JW Marriott Hotel in Pakistan, a 250-room luxury hotel in Gulberg Islamabad. He said that the top-quality hotel in Gulberg Islamabad would prove to be a benchmark for hospitality standards in the capital city besides improving the confidence of the business community. Ziad Abi Raad, Director of Lodging Development for the Middle East and Pakistan for Marriott International said, “we are excited to work with IBECHSto open a JW Marriott in Pakistan”. He said that the scenic beauty of Pakistan has a lot to offer to tourists and travelers and that Marriott international is looking forward to becoming a part of Pakistan's tourism sector.
