Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has received records about private housing societies and land-use conversions from officials in Kasur, Sheikhupura, and Nankana Sahib districts. It was utilised by by the Punjab government in an earlier meeting . On February 28, this information was revealed in a newspaper.

The details indicate that the LDA has reclaimed its jurisdiction to approve land-use modification cases and housing projects. The caretaker government permitted the LDA to continue its duties regarding land usage and the approval of private housing developments within the Lahore division until the elected local governments were created.
Thus, the Local Government & Community Development Department (LG&CD) directed the dissolved local governments' administrators and chief officers in the Lahore division to adhere to the cabinet order and forward land usage and private housing developments documents to the LDA.
