According to news reported on August 24, the Multan Development Authority (MDA) has announced the allocation of plots to honour the sacrifices of Punjab Police Shuhada (martyrs) within private housing societies under its purview. Director General MDA Zahid Ikram discussed this admirable initiative with the owners and developers of housing societies during a meeting that was called on Tuesday, August 22. The conversation disclosed that two to three plots in the housing developments will be reserved specifically for the martyrs of the police force.
Mr Ikram claimed that a number of the province's major cities have already taken the initiative to reserve plots to memorialise Punjab Police Shuhada. He really urged housing associations to take part, acknowledging the noble nature of the endeavour. The Director General further emphasised the value of cooperation between all stakeholders in order to develop a consistent and fair strategy for the effective implementation of this programme. This coordinated effort strives to guarantee that the distribution of plots is uniform and equitable throughout all housing societies under the MDA's jurisdiction.
