Peshawar: CM KP Mahmood Ahmed Khan Chaired a special meeting regarding the execution of the flagship New Peshawer Vally Housing Project. The CM was given a detailed briefing regarding the progress of the project. He ordered the concerned authorities to immediately issue the intimation letters of the plots to the owners. It was also informed that around 13898 Kanal of land has already been verified by the Deputy Commissioner. He directed the concerned officials to arrange a site office for the project immediately. He said that implementing the important project is his government's top priority. He ordered that the intimation letters should be issued before the 25th of this month.

AS per the master plan of the project, initially, 62056 plots of different categories would be constructed including 16,312 plots of 3 marlas, 17,201 of 5 marlas, 3,402 plots of 7 marlas, 9,526 plots of 10 marlas, 13,415 plots of 1 Kanal, 1,494 plots of 2 Kanal and 706 plots of 4 Kanal. 8,000 Kanal of land is being reserved for residential plots to be allotted on a need basis. The master plan also includes the construction of a state-of-the-art Civil Secretariat, Sports City, Media Enclave, Education, and Health City. It is also said that some 16 % of the total area has been reserved for parks and open spaces, 7 % for public buildings and 5 % for commercial activities, and 2 % for graveyards. Overall this mega housing scheme is a complete package in itself.

It is relevant to mention here that the KP government is paying special attention to promoting the housing and construction sector in the province, the government believes that by promoting housing and construction the overall economic progress would be ensured besides the provision of houses and the creation of jobs. The government of KP has also taken special initiatives to promote tourism activities in the province. Several important steps in this regard have already been taken.
