Lahore: According to a recent story published in the print media, the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and Punjab Police Collaborate on Safe City initiatives have started advanced safe city initiatives in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala.

Based on the information provided, these projects use artificial intelligence to effectively combat crime through the use of facial recognition, automatic number plate recognition (ANPR), and tag and trace systems. In a meeting presided over by PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf, Chief Technology Officer Adil Iqbal Khan, additional director general Qasim Afzal, and other important officials we discussed the start and success of these efforts.
