Islamabad: Chairman CDA Aamir Ali Ahmed on Thursday Visited the Site of the Rawal Dam Chow Flyover Project and reviewed the progress of the ongoing construction activities over there. The concerned officials briefed the chairman about the pace of the project and assured him that the project would be completed by next month. The chairman was informed that the flyover will be open for traffic by the 31st of July, while the cleavers and slides on both sides would be completed by the end of June. The 1150 million development project was started in 2019 and was to be completed by the end of 2021 but the work lingered on and now the fresh authorities claim to complete the project before July 31, 2022.

The CDA chairman while speaking on the occasion expressed satisfaction over the pace of ongoing development activities and said that the project is vital for the public and therefore needs to be completed within the stipulated time. The project is currently being executed by the CDA and the FWO jointly. Earlier the project has already faced an inordinate delay and an inquiry committee has been set up by the civic agency to probe the delayed construction of the project. The inquiry was ordered by PM Shahbaz Sharif during his visit ti the site of the project.

The projects like the expansion of the Islamabad Expressway, Expansion of IJP Road, Rawal Dam Flyover, 7th Avenue Project, 10th Avenue Project, and PWD Interchange Bhara Kahu Interchange to name a few. The CDA has also taken up the issue of stalled sectors like I-12, I_14, and I-15 and started development activities over there. In order to ensure timely completion of the development projects, the civic agency has also decided to hire reputed government organizations like FWO and NLC.
