KARACHI: The Sindh government announced on Friday that it would launch Peoples Bus Service on the Lyari Motorway to ease passengers' transportation issues. This decision was made during a meeting presided over by Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, who is also in charge of mass transit and transportation. According to a statement released following the meeting, it was resolved to launch the Peoples Bus Service on the Lyari Motorway in order to ease people's transportation issues.

As part of the discussion, "National Highway Authority member Muneer Memon and DIG Highways and Motorway Police Javed Ali Mahar briefed the participants regarding the flow of traffic on the motorway."The Lyari Expressway's Peoples Bus Service would reduce the load on the highways. The people of Sindh will have the best travel amenities, according to Mr. Memon.
Traffic is transported from Sohrab Goth to Mauripur and vice versa via the Lyari Motorway. On payment of the required toll, the NHA only permits vehicles, wagons/pickups, and minitrucks to use the motorway. The meeting was attended by the Sindh Mass Transit Authority's managing director Kamal Dayo, the assistant secretary for transportation Kiran Shaikh, the DIG for traffic Ahmed Nawaz Cheema, Shoaib Ahmed, and Abdul Shakur Arain, among others.
