KARACHI: To enhance transport options for city residents, Sharjeel Inam Memon, the Minister of Information, Transport, and Mass Transit, announced the opening of two new electric bus routes in Karachi on Tuesday. Memon also highlighted the government's historic housing project, which aims to provide homes to 2.1 million homeless people across the province, at a press conference held at the Archives Complex.

He stated that Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari recently delivered house documents to deserving persons in Larkana.In order to improve public transit, the provincial government has also launched electric, metro and people's bus services in a number of locations, including Karachi and Hyderabad,he added. Additionally, the recently introduced electric bus lines will travel more than 50 km between Malir Cantt and Numaish and Malir Halt to Sadar, via Landhi and Korangi.
Memon added that the provincial government had taken action to guarantee that the PPP administration's decision to grant ownership rights to people who lost their homes to floods could not be overturned.Memon credited former president Asif Ali Zardari with the idea for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project and complimented the PPP for offering solutions to the problems facing the country.
